THE BASICS
What data do we have or collect?
This all depends on how were introduced to you. We may have your data because you bought a ticket, participated in market research or maybe you were even a contestant in show. To make it all clear for you, we’ve detailed what we do with your data dependent on who you are.
Who can access your data?
Only The Big Clash events team can access your data.
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties or anything. Not unless you have given us your permission or we are required by law to do so. However we may use your data to send you customized online adverts about third parties that you may find interesting.

So what are your rights?
·         Rights to access:
You have the right to request information on the personal data we hold on you at any time. Simply contact us at admin@thebigclash.com
·         Right to rectification:
You have the right to request rectification of your personal data if the information is incorrect, including the right to have incomplete data completed.
·         Right to erasure:
You have the right to erase any personal data processed by The Big Clash at any time expect the following situations:

  • You have an ongoing matter with Customer service regarding tickets
  • You have an unsettled debt with The Big Clash, regardless of the payment method
  • You are still a contestant of The Big Clash Gameshow
  • If you have made a purchase, we will need your personal data in connection to your transaction for book-keeping purposes.

·         Your right to object to direct marketing:
You have the right to object to direct marketing, including profiling analysis made for direct marketing purposes.
You can opt out from direct marketing by the following means:

  • following the instruction in each marketing emails
  • by editing the settings of your NuTickets account
  • by emailing admin@thebigclash.com

How long do we save your data?
We will keep your data for direct marketing until you withdraw your consent.
For e-mail marketing we will consider you an inactive customer if you haven’t opened an e-mail within the last year.
After this time period your personal data will be deleted.
Now for the more specific details.
TICKET PURCHASES
By registering and purchasing a ticket via our third-party partner ‘Nu-tickets’, we will collect your title, full name and email address.
We are not responsible for the information gathered by Nu-Tickets so please read their privacy policy if in doubt.
What do we then do with your information?
The main use of your data in this case is for internal book keeping. Should there be any problems with your purchases, we’ll need this information to contact you and match transactions in which we may request additional data where needed, such as:

  • Payment information and history
  • Credit and order information
  • All correspondence in the matter.

We then add your email to our mailing list for marketing purposes in which we may periodically send you emails and newsletters regarding The Big Clash events, projects, special offers and any other information.
How do you control your personal information?
You may choose to restrict the use of your personal information in the following ways:
Once registered, you will have access to a ‘My Account’ tab. Within this you can indicate in your ‘Marketing Preferences’ whether you would like us to contact you via email for direct marketing purposes.
If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing and research purposes via other methods, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at admin@thebigclash.com – please use ‘My Data’ in your subject line.
Will my data be shared with third parties?
We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
Can I update my data?
Yes, within the ‘My Account’ section on Nu-Tickets you can update your personal information via ‘My Details’.
If you believe that any information we may have gathered via other methods is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at the above address and we’ll promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
CONTESTANTS
By registering/being a participant in The Big Clash Gameshow, we collect the following data:

  • Full name
  • Age
  • Number
  • Email Address
  • University
  • Allergies
  • Emergency contact data
  • Clothes size
  • Account details (dependent on payment method)

Why do we collect that data and what do we do with it?

  • Name: We need to know who we are working with, to address you and of course show you off!
  • Age: We need to ensure that you are 18+ for legal reasons such as venues
  • Email Address: We need to be able to contact you throughout the course of the competition to provide you with important updates such as event logistics, t-shirt information and of course game information!
  • University: I mean surely you know why J you need to register to be on a team for your university, so we’ve got to know where! Rep your team! It’s your time to shine.
  • Allergies: As games may include food, drinks and even substances such as slime, we need to know what you are allergic to, to ensure that we are careful in how we proceed and avoid any problems.
  • Emergency Contact: Should anything happen on the day that we cannot solve, we’ll need to contact who you’ve listed to let them know of your situation and how to proceed.
  • Clothes Size: We want you to look good in our merchandise, so we’ll keep your sizes on file! However we will always check at different stages of the competition should you want to update this.
  • Account details: When being a part of The Big Clash, you’ll need to pay a fee to compete. This goes towards elements like your merchandise and promotional material. We will have records of all payments received.

Your right to erasure:
You have the right to erase any personal data processed by The Big Clash at any time expect the following situations:

  • The season is yet to end, for example should you not make it into the Semi-finals. We have the right to keep your data until the season ends. Upon registering, you would have agreed to such terms unless stated otherwise.
  • You have an unsettled debt with The Big Clash, regardless of the payment method
  • You are still a contestant of The Big Clash Gameshow

What happens to your data after the competition?
Your data will remain on our system for Alumni Purposes however you have the right to erase or update your data at any time by contacting us at admin@thebigclash.com
Your email will be added to our mailing list for marketing purposes in which we may periodically send you emails and newsletters regarding The Big Clash events, projects, special offers, Alumni projects and any other information.
